Before we start
Before we start, remember again (as mentioned before in cusp astrology) that the traits of the cusp sign will most match the traits of the individual sun sign.
Some tendencies will be changed/added with the influence
of the neighboring sign, but more of the tendencies will be acquired still from
the specific sun sign.
Individuals of this cusp have quick minds and sharp wits.
They are talkative but not quite as outgoing as a true Gemini might be (they have the soft, taciturn Cancer edge to them after all).
Careful, critical, analytical nature is very typical of this cusp.
They will want to be careful with what they come across in everyday life preferring not to do anything unknown and potentially dangerous too early before weighing out whether or not proceeding might be safe.
Gemincer are divided between their Cancer and Gemini halves. Rooting from the Cancer side, trustable, sensitive nature is very typical.
The Gemini Cancer cusp will tend to have the more mild-mannered close-to home nature.
This will contrast with their Gemini multi-faceted intelligence, charm
and way-with words (but Gemincer will more often be moderate to low extrovert
instead of full out extrovert like a true Gemini may be).
Sensitivity of Gemincer?
Those of the Gemini Cancer cusp can tend to be more emotive than the average sign (and will usually be less so than a true Cancer and more so than a true Gemini).
Emotions rule over the Gemincer, and while they will have many thought and ideas about various details of life, much of the time they will make their decisions based off of their emotions rather than off of their thoughts.
It is not a bad thing to be occasionally emotionally driven (to an extent) but bad to be always emotionally driven.
Head and heart are two parts to a whole (and more prevalent in the signs of Gemini and Cancer than in many other signs) and a stable midpoint between the two signs can be the most effective route to travel for the Gemini Cancer Cusp.
A Need For Change
While the Gemini Cancer cusp tends to be affected more by heart than by head, the dissonance between doing what heart wants instead of what mind dictates can be quite the wearying internal conflict for Gemincer.
Both parts of the Gemini Cancer cusp (the emotional side and the rational/intellectual side) feel a need for change.
The same thing over and over feels boring and tasteless to Gemincer.
Although the Cancer need for home and familiar atmosphere is inherently connected to Gemincer, the necessity of novelty and new adventure is the more prevailing trait.
Change is exciting and a potential thrill (even with the risk of it going wrong always there) and this thrill overrides the daunting aspect of something new (or the need for something familiar all the time).
Gemincer are caring and loyal and will treat their loved ones/close acquaintances with warmth and genuine tender sentiment.
While familiar environments/experiences are often pleasantly comfortable to those of the Gemini Cancer cusp, new experiences and adventure can be more appealing than the same-old (which is healthy; change is needed to grow and become more stronger/effective).
The disparity between signs dividing Gemincer is not too great and so if Gemincer can be stable and sensitive while being open to change (instead of sitting at home excessively and sticking too much to familiar atmospheres, involvements, and ideas) they can find a practical, achievable equilibrium between their Gemini and Cancer cores.
